James Wood MA, LCASA
What is the difference between seeing a “therapist” and having lunch with your best friend, or favorite family member? You can tell me EXACTLY what you think and what you need. What you think and how you feel matters. It is very important to me to respect and empower everyone to enable the confidence needed to make life changes.
I approach therapy with a combination of humanistic and cognitive-behavioral modalities. I believe two people showing each other respect and caring equates to mental and emotional health. If you agree, we might be a good fit.

My experience spans over 35 years. Working for many years as a social worker advocating for individuals and families for our local Health Department. I have worked with many individuals on a wide range of concerns including but not limited to addiction, stress, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, family conflicts, trauma, abuse, grief, anger management and more.
We are going to create a connection and from there we are going to create WINS in your life and relationships. And, I’m going to do my best to make sure you feel heard, cared for, supported, and respected!
